New Photos from MeLo-X's Archives: Theophilus London 2008
My love for photography started a long time ago. From photos and posters on my wall of my favorite artist at the time to looking up album credits and seeing who designed and shot it. I started my own life as a photographer about 5 years ago. Since then I've met some great people, I've been part of some great movements and moments in Downtown NYC, and I've traveled the world, always equipped with my bag of cameras.
My photos were always very personal to me so I was never ready to just post them up every and anywhere. I wanted time to master my craft, Learn when to much is no good and when mistakes maybe just what you need.
In February I plan on relaunching my site MeLoXtra.com with more music , mixes, videos and photos from my archives as well as new photo shoots.
To start this off I wanted to bring back one of my favorite shoots from 2008. It was with "Theophilus London". At the time we were good friends buzzing in the NYC music scene. He hit me up to work on the cover for his First mixtape "Jam" and I said Of course. He took a trip to Flatbush Brooklyn and I shot him on my roof top, in the streets and in my backyard by my garage. I told him he should have a vintage paparazzi look for his cover so I used my "Canon FX" with a 70mm - 230mm Lens and 35mm Black and White ILford Film. The photos came out very gritty and grainy. Here is one of the photos that has never been seen from that photo shoot. I made theo borrow one of my Vintage Polaroid Cameras. More photos from this shoot will be featured on the relaunch of my site MeLoXtra.com in February

Since then Theophilus has grown and taken his vintage style and great flows to the top. I wish for him more success.
Here is the cover that I shot and other promo material.
