Wow I remember this Event. My hommie Fly Lady Di hooked me up with the gig. I love her and Miss HER!!!!
This was the First time I ever saw or heard J.Cole and I Was a instant fan after. Once I heard Lights please I was like He is going to Blow. Then he performed at sway a few months after and that really sealed the deal for me.
Bridget Kelly has been a Friend in NY for a minute now. I believe we met back in 06 when I started DJing in NY. We would go to the same parties and events and she also came to my parties alot. Those were the fun days yo. It was like a group of us who met of myspace and shit and we made downtown NY our party place. Soho 323, Alphabet Lounge and other clubs was little getta way spots. I heard she was a singer but never heard any music until Perez Hilton put her up on his Site. I was like thats CRAZY and I hit her up to congratulate. After that I got more into her music and kept in touch to see how the Biz was treating her.
Anyway just wanted to show you guys wat a difference a year can make. Look at us now if we can do it anyone can.
